Book The Ringsmiths | Make a Silver Ring Workshop with The Ringsmiths in London Bridge

Come and enjoy this 2.5 hour workshop getting creative and jewellery making. Craft your very own hammered sterling silver ring, whether as a gift for somebody or a treat for yourself. Hosted by expert jewellers.

They will guide you through the process of making a ring using traditional goldsmithing techniques such as annealing, forging, soldering, and filing to name but a few. In this workshop you will have the option of making either a wide hammered band or two fine hammered stacking rings (as pictured). Things to remember

All specialist equipment and materials will be provided. It is recommend that all participants wear shoes with a covered toe and if you need glasses for close up work, don't forget to bring those. Please bring a hair tie if you have long hair.

What style ring can I make?

Everyone will be making either a wide hammered band or two fine silver stacking rings. If you would like to make a different style ring we recommend trying our 'Design Your Own Silver Ring' class.

Can I gold plate my ring?

Yes, we offer a range of additonal services. You can choose to oxidise it in class. We also offer, rose or yellow gold plating and black rhodium. Plating adds a 2 week lead time onto your ring as it is sent off to a specialist plating company here in London.

Can I add gemstones?

No, unfortunately we don't offer stone setting in this class however we do in our Cast a Signet Ring or Design Your Own Silver Ring class.

I don't want to make a ring, can I come and watch?

Unfortunately due to health and safety we can only permit those who have paid for a ticket into the space.

Do you offer an engraving service?

We don't currently offer an engraving service for this class but we do for our Design Your Own Silver Ring class or our Cast & make a Signet Ring class.

The ring-making workshop was great, it was a gift for my mum but we really enjoyed doing it, it was interesting and not too challenging. The teachers did a really good job of explaining and helping out when needed! Thank you so much :)
